Conference: “The Copyright Directive. Audiovisual in the digital world” - Friday, July 9 - 4:00 pm
Friday, July 9

4:00 pm  Conference

Conference Room 2

Matera Convention
The Copyright Directive. Audiovisual in the digital world.

The convention “THE COPYRIGHT DIRECTIVE. AUDIOVISUAL IN THE DIGITAL WORLD” will stimulate the attention of the jurists and cinema and television entrepreneurs, who will be present, on the current situation as regards the protection of the rights of all the categories involved in the various sectors of the production and of the dissemination of intellectual works.

The historical moment, in which the convention is held, is characterized by new impulses aimed at reconciling, on one hand, the interest of authors and producers and, on the other, the expectations of the community to enjoy more and more widely and more easily these works.
We are living, therefore, a sensitive time for the legislator who will hopefully balance these two opposing expectations to a reasonable extent and in a reasonable form when transposing this new copyright directive.
Therefore, the legislator, in dealing with transposition, will not be able to neglect the solutions which will be underlined during our conference.

High-end international co-production. How soon will it return?

High-end international copros, a growth area over the last few years, has seen a significant downturn during the pandemic. We will discuss with international key players working in the global drama ecosystem and will analyze the scenario for bold, high-end international contents.
